we're having a baby girl!!!
So you 70%, pat yourselves on the back--you are all brilliant and we congratulate you on intuitively knowing (or willfully deciding?) the sex of our baby!!!
We also got lots of sonogram pictures, and even a 3D picture, which was pretty awesome!
The Dr. checked out all our baby girl's vital organs--from brain to kidney and even her heart, way up close! Everything is looking good and healthy so far, and she measures about 5 1/2 inches from crown to rump (so even more with legs, but she was curled up in a little ball).
So--hooray!!!--more baby pictures:
Steve and I are at odds as to what angle this was taken at. I think it's her back, he thinks its her front. Either way, you can see her head to the right, and that little ball near it is one of her hands.

This is probably my favorite of the day--its her little foot! It looks like she's standing on a Xerox machine. : )

Here's a new profile shot! We still think she has a little Who nose (like in Dr. Suess books), which comes from Steve's side. If you're having trouble finding her, it will help to know that her face is pointed up toward the top of the picture.

This was awesome! We actually got to see her yawn--see how her little mouth is open??? She also stuck her tongue out! The Dr. said it was pretty uncommon to see that, so that made it especially cool! You can't see her tongue here, but check out that little yawn!

And once more with arrows to her yawning mouth and her nose, in case you can't see her clearly. : )

Before we left, the Dr. asked if we'd like to see a 3D image of our baby! It's a little difficult to tell which part is her because the placenta is covering part of her (my body is always getting in the way of these cute pictures!) so I'll post another picture right after this with arrows. : )

Here's the same picture edited. There are arrows to her nose, mouth, and hand (she looks like she's resting her head on her hand) and I colored the placenta a faint grey so you can see where it ends and baby starts.

Can you believe how detailed that is??? She is so cute! I think she looks like my brother when he was a baby, but its probably a little early to tell that just yet. Still, definitely a cute nose. It was so amazing to see her, and know who she is and that we have a little baby girl coming into our lives! We just looked at each other and smiled... It was a very sweet moment.
Hooray for you, baby girl! And hooray for all you correct pollsters--splurge on some Ben & Jerry's tonight--you've earned it. ;-)

Okay, I couldn't really get anything out of the 3-D one... but the rest are insanely cute! Baby Walton does have a cute little nose.
You are right! She is a cutie. So nice to say "she". Since we both guessed correctly, we decided to celebrate by having Killer Tacos
in Kona. Better than ice cream.
Congratulations on perfection.
